Your instinct is to blame the defence, never even acknowledge the .870 goaltending we get

.870 is never good, even if you have ahl defence. The defence hasn’t been perfect, but Samsonov doesn’t even give himself a chance to save the first 2 and the third is a no look backhander from a scrub. Brodie gets walked and then Samsonov let’s in a squeaker of a five hole shitty goal

You can always reframe it as the defence or the goaltender, but when it’s almost always the same goaltender…I’m gonna say it isn’t always the defenfe

Not all Samsonov's fault but this is like Campbell and Andersen all over again. A goalie that you hope that can come up big for you and make some saves when the team in front of you makes some mistakes and they're unable to do so.

Samsonov much like Campbell seems to be a decent guy, but its time to move on from him after this season. Good thing we didn't sign him to a multi year deal so just cut him loose and let Woll and a vet or one of the other young guys from the Marlies come up and be backup next year. Leafs defense has been good and bad at times, but one thing this team hasn't had in a long time is consistently really good goaltending.

Not Samsonov's fault we just had a horrible PP, is it? I'll blame him when we lost 8-7. We've got nothing going tonight, an Samsonv hasn't been any worse than the rest.

Ok I will. Mitch literally did less than a hanging crossbar jersey on the 3rd goal
