Agreed, that’s a savvy little move by Rod. Low-risk, high-reward.
Kochetkov needs a game off somewhere in here so they don’t wear him down and get him hurt. He’s played 5 straight and every other day since November 3. The next 3 are road games tonight, the 11th, and the 13th before a home B2B on the 14th and 15th.
With the travel issues this is a good game to give Kochetkov a night off, let him play Monday and Wednesday, and then let them split the OTT/STL B2B next weekend.

RBA says it was more about getting him rest more than anything, but there was a few times in that game against Pittsburgh that he seemed to be checking his arm
