Okay here another thread to be flamed by the hfworld !!

I was happy by the Subban trade but still i have another player that I want to see being traded in the few months to come (Hopefully MB will listen to me again, ahahah)

I'd like to offer a package :

#67 Max Pacioretty + #51 David Desharnais + #Rookie Micheal McCarron and a 3rd round pick in 2018

for

#9 Matt Duchene + #25 Mikhail Grigorenko + #Rookie DUNCAN SIEMENS

Having Galchenyuk - Radulov and Duchene - Gallagher duos will help our top 6 to go ahead for a new era.

Horrible proposal.

Why would Colorado want Desharnais? Or McCarron? Desharnais is a smurf and McCarron is likely a bottom 6 player at best. Siemens is also garbage. So basically you want Patches and a 3rd for Duchene ans Grigs?
Awful for Colorado.

Maybe Duchene for Galenchyuk.

So the Avs get to run two of Soderberg, DD, or Colborne as their #2 and #3 centre's? I think not, easy no.

Soderberg and DD as 2nd and 3rd is not that bad when you are receiveing a 30 goal scorer like Pacioretty

It's appalling, especially when a MacKinnon is only a borderline #1 centre. The Avs will keep their own player, who happens to be younger, a centre, and also a 30 goal scorer. You're offering zero incentive, you're thinking of Montreals needs here.

We can take MacKinnon instead :naughty:

You know that pacioretty with the right team can score 35++ in a season ;) !

You know that this is the 3rd consecutive season and 5th in the last 6 years that Montreal has scored more goals than Colorado right?

If Pacioretty could score 35+ on a better team imagine what Matt Duchene would do.

I understand Avs fnas don't want to trade Duchesne but value wise, him and Pacioretty is almost a wash.

While Duchesne is a bit younger and a center, Pacioretty is the better goal scorer and is on a better contract.

1 on 1, there wouldn't have much to add to balance it out.

I don't care what the raw value looks like, there simply is no fit for the Avs. It's a proposal in which it addresses the needs for one team, Montreal (young #1 centre), and doesn't for the other whatsoever. As expected, the OP's team happens to be Montreal, and he's trying to convince fans of the other club that it's actually a good deal for them. Of course there's going to be a really negative response from Avs fans, regardless of how close you think the value is.

Yeah that's what i was saying in my first sentence.

That being said, i think you guys are way better at center then left wing.

Centre is far and away more important, and this swap would make it the opposite. The Avs would have Landeskog, Pacioretty, and even Rantanen on LW (that is where he is right now), and Soderberg and DD as their #2 and #3 centre's, which is puke-worthy.

And where does Grigorenko play?
