I can't f***ing believe Rantanen and MacKinnon look like they're sulking. You guys get paid like 24 million combined, wake the f*** up. I don't care about your feelings. Start playing hard.

They’ve barely been on the ice. Take it easy.

Mittelstadt's line is really starting to gel. I don't think Lehkonen and Nuke are redundant at all.

Mackinnon used to be the best first round player in hockey.
Remember last year? It took him until game 3 in Seattle to assert himself.

No star likes it but I think MacKinnon REALLY gets thrown off his game when playing big, physical teams that target him.

In 2022 the Avs didn't play a single team like that. In 2021 Vegas targeted him, 2023 Seattle targeted him. Now the Jets are looking to go out of their way to hit him and he looks scared.

It doesn't help that Parise sucks and can't make plays the way Drouin could to get easy exits with speed right on the tape.

They really should at least try Kovalenko with him. Parise can't go.

He’s no longer taking control of the play and just driving into traffic, it’s very reminiscent of him being in his own head

He’s scored 140 pts this season and average 1.25-1.35 pts for several seasons. But sure, be dumb enough to go there based on a period where the top line was barely on the ice.

I expect Mack to be much better at home and Bednar can pick the matchups

I don't doubt it, but outside of a few shifts here and there in the offensive zone he will still see a hefty dose of Lowry and Neiderreiter.

He has to play like the MVP he is, not the 14-17 version of 55 point scared, sulking MacKinnon.

This team looks defeated. I think George killed them last game.
If they’re defeated after 4 periods of hockey they don’t belong in the playoffs. Thankfully that isn’t the case and they looked quite decent the last half of the period. Even George was acceptable.
All said and done, the difference in this game is still goaltending.
They were never going to win that battle, maybe no other team would either lol….
