That is pretty stupid. I watched the game on free TV with an antenna but don't understand why having it on free TV means you black out the paid channel? Feels like another money grab by KSE since they need to win over advertisers by juicing ratings on the free TV games.

Nuggets postgame shows are a little different now (I don't think they did this last year but I could be wrong), they roll out the couches and treat it like a late night talk show instead of standing behind the usual desk. They also take questions from fans at the game and other things. I wasn't thrilled about them bringing out D-Mac (who apparently pulverized his face in a biking accident) but other than that it was a very interesting way to do it. Wonder if the Avs crew will try it.

One of my favourite memories of the Avalanche is Sakic's press conference after the deadline in 2022. Talking about depth. It was powerful stuff that proved true.
But beyond all that I couldn't help thinking about how bad his hair was. Like, time to shave or just be honest.
A petty thing, I know. But trying to hold on to something that's gone is never good.

Nice to see Marek back in the mix. One of my favourite hockey media people. I have no idea what that network is but I'll check out the pod for sure.

However, I have thoughts on that PB&J. No LIGHT toast of the bread to warm it up a bit? Peanut butter and jam on the same piece of bread? Was he going to dip that knife/spoon back into the jar of jam after it had already touched the peanut butter? Madness.

That PB&J on the same piece of bread got me irrationally angry.

I don't think Sakic gives a f*** about his hair lmao he probably wakes up, showers, dries it vigorously and walks out without a care in the world.

Nation Network has been around for a while, there's various fansites for Canucks Nation, Leafs Nation, etc. They kinda ramped up their media content around the same time as Daily Faceoff IIRC, and now they got their Seravalli. It'll be interesting to see how he does it, sounds like it'll be a podcast that covers hockey at all levels, not just NHL. 32 Thoughts touched upon women's hockey and juniors from time to time but there wasn't any real focus. I bet he's real psyched to do the CHL stuff since he was the real "insider" on those types of stories.

The wife insists on non-chunky PB. I don't care too much because I'm not that big on peanut butter in the first place. Nutella and cookie butter are where it's at.

What always breaks my heart is that almonds are vastly superior to peanuts, but almond butter is straight-up garbage.
