This is my first official series prediction for the playoffs.

I’ve had Seattle going out in a sweep or potentially 5 for a while now, no matter who they played, due to their pathetic goaltending.

This year’s Avs aren’t as strong as the team that swept Nashville in round one last year or Edmonton in the WCF, but I think we’re looking at another sweep. Maybe 5 at most.

Grubauer and Jones are the worst goalies in these playoffs. That’s a tandem you would think would be on a tanker. The underlying numbers for Grubauer look slightly improved this year, but Jones has been horrific for 5 years. Not sure how he still gets jobs.

Seattle was in trouble with their D/G vs either DAL or COL, they are in way more trouble vs COL. They should win a game or two but this may be the one series I am most confident is not going past 6 and even 6 I'd give SEA a huge props on

I actually think the Kraken matchup pretty poorly for the Avs. Seattle doesn't have elite talent but has a lot of solid depth. The Avs have the elite talent but especially with the injuries we have, we are seriously lacking in the depth department.

Wouldn't be surprised at all to see Seattle's middle 6 dominate the Avs middle 6 and use that matchup to win the series in 6 or 7 games.


It'll mostly come down to how well the Kraken can control Mackinnon pretty much and whether they can get reasonable goaltending or not.

I feel Colorado just had to empty their tank to get past Nashville. (With unconvincing wins against back up goalies back to back to help win the division)

I'm not sure about a dominant series here, think Seattle's speed could trouble them.

I'll pick Avs in 7 from their championship pedigree of their top players...but feel they could start slow/sluggish
