College Football Offseason 2025: An-NIL-lation

ESPN on SEC got significantly worse and the crews was one reason. Danielson was hated upon by SEC fans but he was solid.

Insane. That puts him up with Kirby Smart, Ryan Day, and Dabo. You know…. coaches who have won a National Championship

As a brand name, there isn't a bigger current coach than Deion

But yea if they regress next year (like most people are expecting) this will look bad

It only took Deion 2 years to take a perennial loser from a 1-11 season to a bowl game and be a legit contender in the Big 12, CU applications are up by 20%, last year football games brought in $94m in direct economic impact to Boulder and nearly $150m to the region. Games are selling out, recruiting is up, and TV viewership is higher than it’s ever been for CU. Clearly national championships aren’t everything…

I guess Colorado is fine with paying a coach who will average 7 wins a year top echelon money because of his image.

well his image has literally brought in hundreds of millions to the school, city, and state. Besides, that 7 wins that you’re remarkably able to foresee is still way higher than CU has averaged over the previous 20 years or so prior to Deion.

Cool. We just do agree on this so it is what it is.

Somewhat. Not betting that he’ll win a championship anytime soon but he’ll get CU to the playoffs. And when he finally walks away from CU I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if he’s averaging more than 7 wins a season. Like I said, recruiting is miles ahead of what is was, they got a 5-star QB coming in to take Shedeur’s spot, several 4 star receivers, and more NIL money to compete.

$10-12M per year seems great given the bump he’s already given the school. Also an easy one for Florida State to inevitably buy out.
