Who has been given up on by 2 teams now. One that is run as well as any in the league.
That first point of yours wasn't clear until the rest of the return came out (particularly the picks) and thereby made it clear he's a throw in rather than a key piece. Thus my initial hedging.

Lindgren was a tough defensive dman who gave everything, played quite well and Pk’d very good.

Lindgren has become a weak, broken down version of that.

He knows what to do in his own zone, just can’t always do it anymore. Has limited technical attributes. Could work out well for you if he somehow bounces back , but we had seen enough the last two years.

Looked like he got on the Girardi/Staal downward trajectory very very young

Unless the Avs think Lindgren is something going to have a renaissance from absolutely shit to passable, then they just gave up a 2nd, 3rd (what they traded for Parsinnen), and a 4th for a terrible bottom pairing defensman and a fourth liner. Wow.

Yeah I don’t get this at all…

Even neutral fans and NYR haters will tell you Lindgren is absolute booty cheeks. And his body has taken so much damage over the years, really puzzling by the avs

It's the Rangers effect. Once you leave this team, you instantly become better.

Drury going all in on chasing a lottery pick

Good thing he traded a protected first round pick for JT Miller.

Adios first rounder in 2026...

I think Lindgren has been horrible for the last 2 years for the Rangers, but I also think playing in an insulated 3rd pair role behind Toews and Girard for the Avs should dramatically help with his results. For what he is, a 2nd is pretty much the expected price for that.

The Avs won a cup with Jack Johnson on their 3rd pair and IMO Johnson was even worse than Lindgren.

Ah, an ass cheeks for ass cheeks trade. Cool.

Keep doing what you're doing Drury. Trade every one of these primadonna bitches that decided to get complacent and fall off a cliff.

Don't think I've ever seen a one year decline as bad as this NYR squad

To avs fans: Lindgren is an undersized, heart and soul player who should do well in a lesser position in the D core. He was a top pairing guy who did not fit in that role. Hes a guy who lays it all on the line every shift, but his play has declined rapidly in a short period. I wish him the best of luck but suspect he'll not be able to manage anything more than a bottom pairing role from here on out.
