While you're right now, he just centered that line to some seriously positive shifts and had the only goal in our last game.

I see improvement every game, and harder minutes every game on top of that.

How about you stfu and give it a minute.

Woah, eat my ass lad.

I already admitted he’s played well and I was just pissed off after the Habs loss.

Equality is a bitch, I'll do you if you do me.

I remember it took Drouin 20ish games to establish what he would become. But there was a big difference between game 1 and game 21.

It’s hard not to feel good about Paerssinen’s trajectory. He looked a little rough the first few games. But you can now see he’s waking up like Drouin eventually did.

At this point it’s not entirely clear who ends up being better on the Avs between he an Mittelstadt. It’s probably Mittelstadt due to having an established history but that doesn’t seem like a certainty at this point in time.

Word!

Bednar moved him up to RW on the second line with Mitts and Colton immediately after his goal against the Hawks and he hasn't looked out of place at all. Essentially two games now in the top six playing well.

That's a really optimistic sign for his future, since it's more likely he plays in the bottom six of a healthy lineup. Being able to move up and still play well potentially puts him in another tier of player than your usual bottom sixer.

In fact, he's been just about as good as Colton and Mitts. Still going hard to the net. Still winning physical battles in the corners, being hard to play against, and protecting the puck well. Not to mention a pretty nice shot.

Really liking his game so far. I thought the Avs might be hoping to find another gem they can get on a cheapish contract to play 3C, and so far he's making them look like geniuses again.

Hope it continues. Would do so much not only for the lineup, but their cap structure to get a good 3C on a cheap contract, and have money to improve other areas.

Like I said, him playing good and re-signing for cheap makes Colton expendable, if and when we are going to have to make moves for next season.

Yeah I really think that was a big reason for the trade.

I think they've changed directions to spend more on goaltending with more term, and because of that have also decided to change directions to going back to cheap 3C.

Before that didn't work out, because they usually got what they paid for. But this might, because they found the perfect timing where Pars doesn't really have enough games to command a huge raise in the off season.

If they get him on a 3 x $1.5-2M deal, and he pans out well, it could be another huge get for them.
