He was no cancer, and he loved playing and living in Denver. He helped us winning that cup in 2022.......

If he thinks Dallas is the place to ride out his career and earning big money with lower tax, its his choice. And he has every right to do so.

We traded him away because we came to the conclussion he isnt worth the money he wants. He didnt want to be in Carolina at all (you saw that from the get go, btw). We got some nice pieces with Necas and Drury back.

Rantanen is not a traitor, he never pulled a Duchene.

I dont have to root for him, especially not if he faces my team. And thats it.

The drama just makes me want to applaud CMac even more haha. We managed to eject THIS NONSENSE without letting them talk to Rantanen. If we let them, we'd have never gotten Necas lol. Rantanen probably laughed and gave Tulsky a noogie when he tried to talk contract

It's a huge deal for Mikko outside of hockey too, since he will essentially be making a life decision. Where he signs at his age, he will possibly start a family with his lady etc. Huuuge deal. It's not all about money and what jersey you put on..

I think it's possible the Finnish mafia of Stars players will have him convinced it's a perfect place to be and he will then sign. But what an ultra thin window for such a decision. Sometimes I try to put myself in the shoes of these guys and it's pretty crazy.
