God you all are searching for excuses like a school girl at the end of the day facing detention, and your reasoning fkn matches the desperation.
It's pathetic, take a step back.

LOL, the agent is paid to navigate this sphere based on his clients wishes. Either he didn't f***in truly understand his clients wishes or he went for the bag. With nothing else taking president.
Miss communication happens, but based on what i know and can deduce at this point. I'd fire his ass immediately.
Mikko isn't happy, his goal of being an Av for life was just broken, he's f***in on another team.
Sorry, his agent should know what he wants as much as he does or better.
His agent is trash, and failed him. f***IN FACT.
In intelligence as an operative, the ability to gather, and then formulate the correct decision here would be the most basic requirements of my job.
This is 1+1 level shit. They're both responsible, but the agent is supposed to take the mantle while he focuses on hockey.
The agent failed MASSIVELY.
He did, by saying he didn't see it coming.Did anyone blame the agent for the trade or for Mikko refusing the Avs offer?
I hope not.
100%.
Which was stupid and his job to see it coming. f*** we all seen it coming. He did, by saying he didn't see it coming.
I appreciate you backing me up on that. It's a devisive take, but brutal honesty. I don't really know anything.
Which was stupid and his job to see it coming. f*** we all seen it coming.
Nahh, Drury is a 3C.Did Drury play 4C for the canes? Is that why some here insist on him being 4C here too?
Well that was just proven false wasn't it?He did, by saying he didn't see it coming.
He's PPG in the 9 games he's been here. Calm your titsFrustration of Necas wiffing up so many goal opportunities is slowly building up.
He needs to man up infront of goal if he wants to rise to the top.
thank you! He's PPG in the 9 games he's been here. Calm your tits
His take on this trade is horrible, not worth wasting your time. What the f*** are you talking about? That's exactly what his value was and is. He's CURRENTLY 11th in league scoring.
Did you know he was the Canes leading scorer 2 seasons ago? Last year he got dropped off the top PP unit (despite having the most PP points) because the Canes were trying to sabotage his contract demands?
It's the opposite of disingenuous to call him the 11th highest scorer in the league right now. It's actually just a fact. What in the f***?
I waste my time on here constantly, it's a blastHis take on this trade is horrible, not worth wasting your time.
Am I the only one who remembers that Rantanen has been extremely bad for 2 seasons? Remember the Ismo drama last year?
The difference in Carolina is he doesn't get away with playing lazy ass hockey while collecting free Mack and empty netter points.
Did you watch him play or only looked at the numbers? There's a reason why ALL the GDTs were littered with how bad he is and it's not because no one knows hockey in those threads. From Around The League thread:
I don't think Mikko fits the criteria for bad or extremely bad. He's actually been pretty consistently great. Pretty close to the same numbers each year. You can't leach your way off MacKinnon to these kinds of numbers.
2020-21: 47 goals - 105 point pace
2021-22: 36 goals - 92 points (39 goal 101 pt pace)
2022-23: 55 goals - 105 points
2023-24: 42 goals - 104 points
2024-25: 42 goals - 107 point pace with Avs

That's because he was good then and not shit (unlike now). Believe it or not we can see (and judge) when players are playing good hockey. Rantanen has been shit for 2 years despite the great stats, that's a fact for anyone who watched him play on a nightly basis. If we went by the trade thread or early season GDT's to define Mitts, he'd be exactly the 2C this team needs, and a great stylistic fit.

No one here wanted to hate Rantanen, every single fan here wanted him to be good and had a positive bias if anything. He just sucked.
Mikko obviously didn't suck but he wasn't anything close to the caliber of player we had come to expect. The analytics supported this, too -- whenever he was away from MacKinnon, he struggled but if MacKinnon was away from him, nothing changed for 29.
If Mikko was willing to be reasonable I'm sure fans would have been with an 8x10 contract. Hell, some fans said they felt comfortable going to 8x11.5. Problem is if we were going to get the coasting, weak, let MacKinnon do all the work for me player then he deserved to be sent on his way.
Suck is an overstatement but he was not deserving of anything close to what the Avs were offering contract wise.
@AvsCOL posted them earlier in the thread: Confirmed with Link: - [COL, CAR, CHI] Rantanen-Hall to CAR, Necas-Drury-25 2nd-26 4th to COL, Chi 25 3rd to Chi (Ret 50% on Mikko)Do you have a site that gives WOWY stats for production? Obviously his corsi and extepcted goals would go down playing away from Nate, but I can't find what his actual production was.
I seem to remember a few years back, where Mikko had pretty good numbers with Nate out of the lineup. I remember Nate giving him props too, because he had been hurt more than usual, and helped carry the team while he was out.
I'm also curious what Nate's production was like away from Mikko?
Or Vegas. They got the fresh LTIR candidate with Shea Theodore going there from the 4N tourneyThings will get interesting when Mikko is playing for the Oilers in 2 weeks.
