Trade is gonna look really bad for the Canes sooner than later. I think they got absolutely fleeced.
lol wow, I had to google that to see for myself. I have a buddy who is about my age (40) and prematurely grey as well, but the rest of his body and face still look 40. Frank the tank here looks like he fought in Nam. So wild.Frank is 36 years old. Why the f*** does he have the hair color of a 76 year old?
You never know as time will tell for sure. Heck, Avs were looking pretty good when they made the Byram for Mitts trade last year. Welp, thats looking like dog poop for us.Trade is gonna look really bad for the Canes sooner than later. I think they got absolutely fleeced.
I think a lot of people are missing the fact that they would've traded Necas in the offseason regardless, beacause they would've lost him at 2026 free agency. So yes, while he does have a year left on his deal, he was sort of a rental for them as well. The negotiations last summer really were rough, and left a sour taste on both parties.Trade is gonna look really bad for the Canes sooner than later. I think they got absolutely fleeced.
Yeah they botched the whole thing.I think a lot of people are missing the fact that they would've traded Necas in the offseason regardless, beacause they would've lost him at 2026 free agency. In an isolated scenario, what we got back in the Mikko trade is pretty unheard of. Usually it's a pick, a roster player, and a prospect. What we got is really damn good roster player with one year left on his deal. But like I said, that's an isolated case.Yeah they botched the whole thing.
Yeah I don't think anyone considered him - I think most of us didn't even want to begin litigating rental value for Rantanen because it hurt even thinking about it.In an isolated scenario, what we got back in the Mikko trade is pretty unheard of. I had been adamant against trading Mikko mostly because I thought there was not going to be a return for us that didn't damage our cup chances this year and next year. Didn't really think about Necas, while some others did point that out as an option. Good thing CMac and Tulsky both were thinking outsde of the box.
Well, unless that deal happens this summer I don't think it will end up being that much cheaper than RantanenYeah I don't think anyone considered him - I think most of us didn't even want to begin litigating rental value for Rantanen because it hurt even thinking about it.
We definitely are benefitting from Carolina's contentious dealings with Necas. His current deal allows us to have 2 realistic runs and hopefully lock him up to a strong deal after
I hope Necas keeps this up but also saw some scouting reports that he is very inconsistent - sometimes looks top 10 in the league and then will disappear entirely for stretches. I’m having a hard time seeing how that will happen being on Mac’s line but if he’s still playing this well 15 games in, I think we 100% swindled Carolina.
Also gotta add - our pro scouting this year has been LIGHTS OUT in terms of performance. Necas, Drury, Blackwood, and Wedgewood have been absolutely perfect fits to this team.
I'd be shocked if Necas was to go on a long pointless stretch, if he plays with MacKinnon. It's simply impossible.I hope Necas keeps this up but also saw some scouting reports that he is very inconsistent - sometimes looks top 10 in the league and then will disappear entirely for stretches. Everyone on the Avs will be judged on their playoffs next season. Curious to see how Necas and Blackwood do. Can Necas be a PPG when it matters? Can Blackwood outperform Kuemper and Fourgiev? Time will tell.I think trying to fit into Rod's parameters probably had a impact there. Here, he's allowed more freedom to be creative.
I'm sure he'll have his cold stretches, even Nate does at times.
I wonder if he dyes his hair to be taken seriously…He looked like that like 7 years ago.
Edit: That's him in 2017...do the math

Seravalli also said the Avs closed the cup windown by giving the deal to Blackwood.
He's a good insider, but his hockey takes suck ass. People should learn this. Learn to make the difference on what he reports and what he thinks.
My god are border collies cool dogs
Yes for better or for worse, that's why they won't get split up. The thing I find funny about this is that Nate alone passes up 2-3 good looks/game.Lehkonen-MacKinnon-Necas… the top line in the NHL in Expected Goals per 60 minutes.
The only line over 5 expected goals per f***ing game.
They also lead in shot attempts per 60 minutes.
Pretty much any offensive stat per 60 minutes they are 1st in the NHL.
Not bad, yeah?

It's not worked.I wonder if he dyes his hair to be taken seriously…
Honestly. If they get a healthy Nuke back, a 2C thats not a soft boy and 3 more dman they would be a legit contender. Just way to much to fix.Man if we can get landy back and nuke, make a big pickup on d or two this team is a cup contnder
