He's worth whatever a team is willing to pay him. Unfortunately he want's more than Mackinnon and we have Cale's contract coming up. 14 million dooms this team to being even more reliant on 1 line than it already was.

Not recently, unfortunately he got a little too comfortable.

He used to be capable of putting up like 2.0/game when Mack got injured. Not anymore.

This is one hell of a wakeup call.

If talking about how they are as players, ´MacK should make more than him. But with cap going up and stuff I understand wanting more, especially how good Mikko has been too. I think in a long run with Makar's contract coming up too, the Avs have a better chance with only two highly payed players instead of two. More depth like was said.

They've tried multiple times over the last two years to separate Mikko from Mack, and see if he could drive his own line. Even used him at center.

He's not worth 12 to 14M if he can't drive some secondary scoring on occasion at a high level.

We'll see in NC, but they shouldn't pay him that either if he can't drive their offense. They'd be smart to wait a little bit.
