Yes credit where credit is due. He was seconds ahead of everyone else, while getting Kotkaniemi going to the Avs, Gabe's knee blowing up with swelling, and probably other things wrong this year.

He's overly aggressive in his reporting to try to be first. Occasionally he's first. Other times it leads to being wrong.

It's a bad habit for reporters. Like saying Mikko is close to signing with the Avs. This is what separates them from guys like Friedman or Lebrun who couch what they say appropriately.

Interesting tidbit - sometimes what happens is that the players in the deals house swap. I knew an Avs player’s wife bout 10 years ago and when he got traded, they swapped. Not a long term solution but it works short term.

Yeah Mikko is special but so is every kid in school. I like this deal, we're stale and everyone knows it. Hopefully it shakes up the PP too, everyone in Canada knows Mikko is hanging out in the right circle for a one timer.
