Kings stay out of the box they win this game, simple as that.

BTW, I think it was very telling that Lucic and Toffoli, who both took stupid penalties were not on the ice at the end of the game, and they didn't deserve to be, happy to see Sutter sending a message that there will be consequences for selfish play.
 
Too many bonehead penalties. We deserved them all, but the Avs got away with a lot of ****. Limping into the ASG as predicted.
 
If they keep this **** up in the playoffs they will be out in the first round. Teams like Avs/Nashville/Wild will pounce on them.

BTW, that replay is tough to watch, if Kopi slides the puck over to Doughty he literally could have skated the puck into the net, goaltender had completely committed to the shot. Can't fault Kopi though, he played pretty well.

I would have to look at it again, but I didn't see much of a penalty on Toffoli. Seemed like a weak call to me.
 
Apparently they aren't as pissed as I am that the Sharks are potentially within 5 points of us now.

****ing terrible. That one made me even madder than the Sens games.
 
I'd say a majority of us saw this coming after seeing the results of the SJ/COL game.

This is your typical Kings game of failing to show up against what we perceive to be a weaker opponent. Happened against Colorado in Colorado, against Ottawa, Minnesota, Arizona, and Colorado again. Oh and there's others as well like the Buffalo and Toronto games. It's your typical Kings performance.

Oh and they blew another 3rd period lead tonight. Ron must be happy.
 
To many penalties. I deserve a medal for listening to that broadcast, I'm surprised he could call it with all that avs **** in his mouth.:shakehead

And the Kings' complete inability to draw calls strikes again.

Kings calls were legit but the Avs were getting away with absolutely everything, which is obviously important considering the impact special teams had on this game.

In the big picture I'm more concerned about the suddenly terrible PK, but I expect us to come roaring out after the break. Glad it showed up to maybe break SJ's momentum and us to get our **** together.

Ehrhoff can't be taking normal shifts on a cup contender. Flat out. He needs to be jettisoned asap. I'd rather have Forbort come in and suck because he at least has an excuse.
 
Lucic is like the NHL's version of Bill Romanowski. You will take the good with the bad most of the time, but I think right now he needs to be muzzled. I know it wasn't intentional, but just coming off suspension you should not be putting yourself in a spot where you end of hitting an official.
