Slaf is so lost.. he is so young with a paycheck coming and now he sucks
How can they get this kid back to what was to be

I think the main issue is the same with Andy last season: the coaching/training staff is trying to turn Slaf into something he's not. So he gets all confused/conflicted and lost.Slaf is so lost.. he is so young with a paycheck coming and now he sucks

that is it? what is he?I think the main issue is the same with Andy last season: the coaching/training staff is trying to turn Slaf into something he's not. So he gets all confused/conflicted and lost.
They should have shown him videos of his 2nd half last season, especially post-All Stars, already. Actually, I haven't heard anyone talks about watching videos since the season started. It happened a lot last season.
There's no such thing as getting a *serious* coaching hire for this organisation when you cut down the available pool by 75% + every time you need to make a hire lolKeep MSL for this season he's the perfect tank commander. Next season when Demidov comes in we should get a serious coach. So who's it gonna be? Té-Rien or Claude "dumb dumb" Julien? Lmao

Yeah but it's not enough. Toffoli bring Heineman, nothing to compare. Habs traded a lot of veterans players for little in return. Hutson was a second round pick and it happened to be an hit. A bit of luck too. Hage will be good if he doesn't get injured or he doesn't stop jis progression. In 3 years Hage will come here to become what? A second center or a 3rd center? Who will be that center better than Suzuki? I don't see anyone in the prospects except maybe, maybe Hage.
Who will be the second center next year? Dach? Not Dvorak, he will be gone and he sucks anyway. Not Evans, or I hope not. So there will be only Suzuki as a good center for how many wingers? Caufield, Slaf, Laine and Demidov. Suzuki will double shift to be the center of all these wingers? He will be playing 40 minutes a game?
Thats bs and you know it. Hughes wanted to send Slafkovsky down last season but didn't do it because MSL said that he would work with him. Do you have a short memory? I thought I was the old senile one.MSL is a 'little guy' coach, if you aren't 5'7 - 5'9 your game is going to be trash by the looks of it.
Some of this is on MSL for sureThats bs and you know it. Hughes wanted to send Slafkovsky down last season but didn't do it because MSL said that he would work with him. Do you have a short memory? I thought I was the old senile one.
Slaf's problem is himself. He was given a big contract and came back this season and set the speed on cruise control and now some bad habits have crept in. He isn't showing the hustle he did for the last 40 games and is now in a funk. MSL is trying to wake him up without sitting his ass for a few games. That's all it is.
Julien is 1000x better than MSL.Keep MSL for this season he's the perfect tank commander. Next season when Demidov comes in we should get a serious coach. So who's it gonna be? Té-Rien or Claude "dumb dumb" Julien? Lmao
If he resigns doesn't he give up millions?I bet MSL resigns very soon
Zero chance …I bet MSL resigns very soon
And Bergevin started with an overpaid player named Gomez, also aging small player Gionta, pouting Cammalleri, Vodka Kostitsyn, Slow Spacek, Ryan useless White, Moen, etc. Bergevin herited a lot of crap. That team was far from turning the corner on a dime. And he drafted Galchy and we were all jumping about that genious pick. Our veteran players mainly sucked. Both Lehkonen & Toffoli asked for trades. So did Petry, but we couldn't trade him due to how awful he was playing and his cap hit. We eventually traded him off-season, with retention, for Matheson, and eventually got a 2nd from that, too, which we get this year. Considering how bad Pens are, that's going to be a top 40 pick. Idc, what people say, that was a massive win, as was the Monahan trade.
The other thing with Lehks was he was RFA that year & we didn't really have the money to sign him. We still had Hoffman, Weber, Price, Edmundson, Byron, taking up important off-season cap space.
People underestimate how important it was to trade Weber's contract that summer. Yeah, we got nothing for him, but just moving it was massively important. We also had Alzner buyout on the books and we were getting a pretty big bonus overage penalty for the following year, too.
People forget because we're good now, but Bergevin left behind a massive cap issue that Hughes has spent 2 years fixing.
