Beautiful hockey? Us? All but like 15 games have been 1-0 or 1-1 games going into the 3rd period

Didn't the broadcast just quote that we are like 25-1 when leading after 2 periods? Sounds beautiful to me.

You're also claiming we scored like 190 goals in those other 15 games.
I wasn't arguing we don't close down games. I'm just more or less making the point that the Lightning are we the definition of low event dead puck hockey. 141 of our goals are in the 2nd and 3rd period. How many of those goals do you think came after we spent roughly half the game at a 1-0 or 1-1 score grinding it to death with rope a dope? The 15 games I'm talking about are the random 6 to 8 goal nights where we didn't play like a team straight out of 1999. It's what we always talk about.

I don't care that we do it, I just want it to work.

We just disagree on our current roster construction because Scotty Bowman hockey more often than not required **the** most ridiculous rosters ever assembled to win the Cup or just beat his team. It was rarely less true in 2021 when we won it was in 1998 when Scotty was winning with or losing to super teams. The recent Blues and Capitals were rare exceptions and I'm just not sure we are there yet

After the playoff lose to Columbus I wanted Cooper so gone I couldn't stand it. Needless to say I'm very glad that didn't happen. What he is doing this year with the team is fun to watch.
