I probably put more weight in Sportico and Forbes, see how they compare when they come out, but nice to see others value.

Even though I agree that Forbes/Sportico have more weight in these stories, but CNBC value on the Leafs is more on the money then what Sportico was a month ago

Jets still 2nd to last on this list. :thumbu:

And?

Nobody was expecting the Jets to be in the top half of the list.

What's more interesting... in terms of overall revenue Jets are 28th. In terms of Ebitda (Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciating and amortization) they're 29th.

Curious why Jets would be behind the Senators. I guess it's because the Sens have more potential - that with a new arena they could increase their earnings, whereas the Jets have no prospect of a new arena any time soon.

I would think the recent selling price on the Sens played a lot into it.

No matter how you want to look at it… TNSE is still sitting pretty given what they spent to get the Thrashers.

The league has come a very long way in the last 20 years but I am a little surprised we have 3 teams in the red on EBITDA. These numbers are after revenue sharing, correct? I had thought we’d gotten to a point where everybody was operating cash flow positive, even if only barely (aside from AZ/UT I guess).

More than anything its the potential of having an arena in downtown Ottawa I'm sure. That alone makes a huge difference.
