Kinda a LOL. You can make changes without pulling the goalie or changing the lines.

I feel a third line goal coming up..
If you don’t change the lines, you don’t change the goalie, the lines are being deployed their normal ice time and zone starts….they can make slight adjustments to the neutral zone but IMO strategy isn’t the issue right now. It’s level of effort which I think requires parking some people on the bench and shifting lines but we shall see

Personally, I'm ready for the Frank experiment to end. He's got speed and not much else at this level. Four points in 13 games, and nothing in at least five games. Would've been nice if he was the answer at wing, but it seems he's not.

I mean I would take him over Vrana. But it does confirm we can use a Top 6 upgrade. Frank may have more value to another team as a piece of a trade.

He has also drawn some key penalties Ali g the way which we then scored on, not to mention canceling a bunch of icings. I think his advanced stats are good

fair point. he just looks very "AHL superstar" to me, but I'd be glad to be wrong.
I don't disagree overall but he is providing something (that Vrana can too, to be fair, but I think slightly better) which is just that he's so damn fast. Or rather, they're probably equally fast but Frank is just a bit better off-puck in ways that aren't purely offensive which helps.

It's probably not going to tip advanced stat scales but there's some merit to a team that plays as slow and methodically as the Caps do having a few guys who surprise the other team by just being fast, in that it stops compression of their formations, forces them to play deeper, and opens some space in the middle.

It's the same as when Fever gets on his horse, it's not significantly likely to pay off but a guy blasting through neutral doing 25 makes you pay some attention. If this were the NFL they need at least one or two deep threats just to keep people honest and in some short sequences Frank is giving them that.

Strome got clipped trying to get around chchch and landed with his right knee folding underneath him.

Does not look good. Hope it's just a tweak

Ah the angle from behind the other goal shoes the puck hitting him above the knee and the folding of the leg wasn't as bad. Thank goodness.
