Big problems with getting Gaborik:

- Massive cap hit. Right before the cap goes down and in a team that is already top-6 heavy.
- We still dont get any younger.
- Injury prone.

I don't want Gaborik, either. He's been awful this season, and the cap hit (and giving up assets) isn't worth it.

And I agree a little bit about the injury prone thing. But I feel that it is possible to shed that label. Has Gaborik? Probably not yet, but he hasn't missed as many games as people think.

Back on topic, I think DW waited too long to trade Clowe.

Hard to tell if Clowe's value has gone down over night. Jagr and Roy didn't get the best returns and there are less buyers now because of the trades.

Montreal, Minnesota, Philly, NYR are the final teams said to be after Clowe right?

Vancouver too, but I wouldn't trade him to a future division rival if I was the GM. I wouldn't count out Boston, either.

My main issue with getting Gaborik is that we get Gaborik.

IMO, I think there is already a deal in place for Clowe. Just think its complicated (three team deal or something)...
