Podcast (Audio) CLEAN HITS : New Utah Hockey Content - Born from HF Coyotes

We enjoyed that interview. Thanks for doing it and posting.

I've lived in the Phoenix area for almost 8 years and had closely kept up with the Coyotes situation. I kept thinking to myself that there is no way the NHL will allow the Coyotes to play at Mullett Arena for another season, much less two more beyond that.

Mullett got a nice facelift and ASU should be happy about that, at least. I don't want to get into all of the political trappings of the whole thing, but it became clear to me that the NHL was going to force a sale and relocation and my guess was Utah as the apparently clear contender. And that's exactly what happened.

But the roster lives on and BA is gold. A new era with a new Doan.

BTW, I want the team name to be The Utah Canyon with a coyote as the mascot. The Canyon Coyote. I got it all worked out.
Thank you for the kind words!!!!

I started reading the latest email from Clean Hits Hockey and when I came across the phrase "metronomic cadence" I immediately thought of only one person who would use that description and wondered if he was directing it to @Summer Rose (LOL)?
Good article with hidden stats that most wouldn't have known about, the progressions that Logan has made in-season(s).
As the designated homer (even if I am currently residing in Tempe), I can see Cooley being ~ a point per game player this upcoming season, well for at least the 2nd half of the hockey year...

Thanks! I appreciate that! I wrote the Cooley post. :)

I'm sure this isn't how most feel, but it's the Coyotes now UHC roster that I know and love. That's why I'm following the team still, even in Utah. Not sure a new team in AZ will ever become more than my second team. What I want is never coming back the way I really want it. Might b too invested in what is now UHC to start over again. Will be even moreso in 5+ years.

Edit: I would also need to see that the team does not look like Coyotes v2.0 for a while before I could commit either way.

Good interview guys. I think Seravalli is dreaming thinking NHL hockey is back within five years. It would be nice, but I sure don't see that happening unless the NHL and Phoenix gives Isbia a big carrot, and with the idiots we have running Phoenix and this state I don't see that happening. Also, Isbia seems like a owner who is too much involved with the day to day running of a team. He likes the limelight, like Cuban. Having said that, I want a NHL team back as soon as possible with good management and if that is Isbia so be it.

Great interview guys!

Mind blowing how much this thing is taking off! Must be a dream to be going from discussing on the HFBoards to now being able to meet these people and discuss right from the horses mouth!

Can’t wait to see this continue to grow and excited for the future for Clean Hits

What can we all do to celebrate when you eventually land your first Bill Armstrong interview?

Road trip to SLC?

Nice, thinking about this and it could just be an exhibition, but that'd mean ice has be put down somewhere - Glendale, Suns' Arena, or new arena; I highly doubt it'd be back at Mullett.
It WON'T be at the Mullett. I would think it would have to be a new arena. I don't see a 5 yr. time frame either. When we get a team back I think "decade" will be in the conversation. Bettman wants a team here, but he said the political climate has to change, and he doesn't see that happening in the near future. That's the biggest hurdle at the moment. Look no farther than the Diamondbacks and their years long feud with the State. Maybe when the Diamondback's move to Utah Arizona will wake up.

What a great idea, convert BOB into a hockey arena!
