Troy McClure
Should’ve drafted Makar
Please oh please let it be him doing something he wasn't supposed to be doing. Void the contract.
Snuck in a White After Labor Day clause in his contract. Please oh please let it be him doing something he wasn't supposed to be doing. Void the contract.
There is no out for the Browns, unless Watson was doing an activity that he should not have that caused this second surgery. This is not the NHL with LTIR. There is no relief for the Browns with Watson's fully guaranteed contract. They do not get extra cap space to sign another player.I don't buy it, the Browns are just trying to pull one over on the league and they will pay him to go away

Win some, lose somethe beginning of this thread is awesome
you’re not the only one, that one made me laugh thoughWin some, lose some
Lamar Jackson is not that great to begin with. Let's be honest.
thats the other one that made me laughFreezing cold
Baker is still able to be held by a team for three more seasons (5th yr option plus two franchise tags), so I guess it comes down to how many teams think they can salvage his career and get him back on track.
Watson and Cooper will be an interesting duo to watch
After 20+ years the browns finally have a franchise QB
Really was. Good for him. Shame it took him needing a couple of failures to figure it out, but there are lots of QBs who went his route of bouncing around yet never got it together.Tampa Bay!! Man’s career has been reborn

While Watson is really good, I just don't think he's better than Burrow. Not to mention than healthy Ravens are better team. So, I guess this will be your typical era of Browns football. I don't expect much from them even with Deshaun.
Ah, but that's not entirely true. Him being unable to play is going to provide the Browns with something like $44 million in cap relief for the 2026 season. There is no out for the Browns, unless Watson was doing an activity that he should not have that caused this second surgery. Did you predict Watson being bad?the beginning of this thread is awesome
I forgot that there is an avenue for cap relief if the browns paid to have the contract insured. That came up as an article back when Rodgers injured his achillies. The insurance money would have helped offset some of the money/cap charge.Ah, but that's not entirely true. im ngl i was looking thru this thread and one on another forum i post on to see if i posted anything about it but i dont think i didAh, but that's not entirely true. Him being unable to play is going to provide the Browns with something like $44 million in cap relief for the 2026 season.

You could have least have waited for him to beat the Steelers in the 1st round before quoting meFreezing cold
But are they shitty old takes? At the time the trade was made, everyone employed in the NFL and covering the NFL thought Watson was an awesome QB.im ngl i was looking thru this thread and one on another forum i post on to see if i posted anything about it but i dont think i did
i feel like i was more hesitant about it making the browns amazing than a lot of ppl but i dont have any receipts lol
either way it’d still be funny. got no problem laughing at my shitty old takes

That's why there was a big bidding war. It's why everyone covering the NFL said it was a massive game changer.
