Someone reported the Browns removed a clause from the Watson contract when they restructured his deal a few months ago. The tweet claimed the Browns could reclaim some of the guaranteed money if Watson was suspended again.

It turns out no clause like it was removed.
Have to ask why would Watson's agent have agreed to something like that? What would they have gotten in return? Thus, it didn't make sense.

You guys laugh, but if Watson stays healthy for two more games, there is a chance he has his most productive season since going to the Browns. Most touchdowns (maybe), most yards (maybe), most games played.

If not for how he got $230M guaranteed, I would say this is karmic justice. Unfortunately, it isn't. Except maybe for the Browns.

Unfortunately for the Browns, this quick settlement probably also scuttles any league investigation that could have put to the test the question of whether the Browns could get out of the contract.

I’m glad the Browns can’t get out of this contract. The most dumbest trade and signing for an overrated bum. I mean, how was anyone going to respect this clown after everything he’s done.
