Very happy to see him thriving. He is a super-skilled player, so smart, he understands exactly what his best play is so quickly. But his best attribute is his effort, to get to try and make all those plays. 99.9th percentile.

Happy to see another franchise get to enjoy his results, please just get him to the playoffs and watch him go.

Girouxs been up and down in his career, he goes from superstar to top line player every couple seasons

Couple reasons why it seems that way from afar.

He played under 7 coaches and 7 different systems in Philly, so the whole team structure wasn't really the same year-in-and-out. He also notoriously does not miss hockey games. The biggest dip in his career was during the 2015-17: He played through a hip injury and a hernia in 2015-16 and then had surgery on both, then basically played through his recovery period in 2016-17. Then scored 102 points the next year.

As a player and in-season he's not streaky at all, you can take any season of his career and split down the middle and his first 41 games will usually look nearly identical to the last 41. His defensive game and playmaking ability don't really wane, either, but their success depends a lot on the players around him and the system he's in.

I pray for anyone that chooses to sign in Ottawa
Yep and this was correct for the first part of our exsistence....Now with new ownership coming in and actually being able to spend to the cap...There is a much better feel around the team now
