Classless Evander Kane

How do you not go out for the handshake line?! I hope no one picks up this bum and he is suspended and find. You would think there is some sort of punishment for this.
Apparently, you have never heard of or are too young to remember Billy Smith. Might want to google the name and learn about his feeling on the handshake line.

The odd thing about Kane is that his downfall isn’t even from him being selfish - it is him being a complete moron. What I mean by that is he doesn’t put himself before his team for his own benefit - he serially makes irrational, knee-jerk decisions in the moment where everyone involved (including himself) loses. This LTIR situation is no different from a long series of un-strategic decisions he has made throughout his NHL career.

I'm not going to hold it against someone to not extend basic decency to those who never showed it prior. They are just taking maximum advantage of how the playoffs are refereed as well as favorable reffing. Ultimately it's the NHL's fault including their lack of policies against clear conflicts of interests in the people they hire/allow teams to hire. Colin Campbell.
gg loser, better luck next year

I hope oilers get rid of him, what ever the cost it is worth it, he had a decent last
year, but off with him, the handshake thing i dont care about, but using
the stick as a sword on matthew was disgusting, as much as i loathe matthew
he could have sent him to the hospital with a broken arm and wrecking
the guys maybe top5 most important night in life... just brain dead behavior
, who would want to have that to be around?

You're killing a narrative. Meanwhile Crosby didn't shake hands with Detroit and no one cares.
Yeah this forum loves shitting all over anyone and they don’t let facts get in the way of feelings.

Guys like Evander, Tony DeAngelo or even Zegras could win a Conn Smythe and a Hart and they’d still suck or be the worst human ever.

A lot of non sequitur in this post.
I think you just wanted to use that phrase because this is literally an Evander Kane bashing thread, one of many.

Even when he has a great playoffs, he still gets crapped on. There’s people on here who truly believe he’s an AHL player at best or at least, did during the COVID saga.

Nothing Kane could do would earn any type of respect from some people on here

Oh on our own forum, somebody floated the idea of bringing him onto the Canucks next year. I said in response " F that Piece of sh**" because thats who he is. He is a P.O.S. Even if he scored 50 for the Oilers, there's no way we'd bring a guy like that into our locker room. He was only added to the Oilers because McDavid suggested it.For anyone not aware, he was famous for doing push ups with loads of cash on his back, flexing his money. Keep in mind, he's from one of the poorer parts of East Vancouver, and I thought he'd be more humble about what he's become at the time, that was a professional NHL player. Anyways, maybe he's grown up? He's proven he hasn't matured one bit. I'm surprised if he's in the NHL next year.

Kane might be Kane, but if you didn't watch the game you may have forgotten he was ejected right near the end of it. He went to the dressing room. For all we know Kane had part of his equipment off in the dressing room at his stall. I honestly don't know the rules or the standards when it comes to a player who got ejected but is it normal to come out and shake hands after that?

Either way, I like the handshake line at the end of a series. It's good sportsmanship and it says something when two teams battle it out for 7 games and look each other in the eye and shake hands. That being said, Gerry Cheevers was not a fan of it and Billy Smith didn't shake hands either, although he did shake Herb Brooks' hand after that classic 1984 series with the Rangers. Probably just out of respect for a coach who was well respected.

Kane should be off the hook for this one. I thought it was lazy reporting when it was mentioned he wasn't in the handshake line. We all know he got ejected.
