Classless Evander Kane

oh no, not the handshake line

How do you not go out for the handshake line?! I hope no one picks up this bum and he is suspended and find. You would think there is some sort of punishment for this.
Who gives a fornication? It's not that he had a reputation for being full of class before. He's a grown man who's allowed to make his own choices.

Evander Kane is the kind of guy you can print anything about with no hesitation. He could never win a defamation case, because you could rest your case on the 'his reputation is so bad that nothing I can say would damage it' defense, and it would be impervious.

So yeah, who cares at this point?

Far from a Kane fan, as in really far, but come on. He was given a match penalty and had to go to the room. Not sure why he would come out after a major loss on away ice just to join a handshake line. Dude's a creep, but I don't think this is an instance where he was in the wrong.

The handshake line is whatever.

For me story is a guy who’s watching the clock wind down on a Stanley Cup elimination game, his team having pulled their goalie multiple times and just finally broken through on the scoreboard, and thinks that’s the time to chase a guy across the ice taking swings at him right in front of the ref. That was one of the more selfish moments I’ve seen in hockey.

Couldn't be more ironic that a Leaf's fan felt the need to make a post about the Stanley Cup handshake line in 2025

Oh on our own forum, somebody floated the idea of bringing him onto the Canucks next year. I said in response " F that Piece of sh**" because thats who he is. He is a P.O.S. Even if he scored 50 for the Oilers, there's no way we'd bring a guy like that into our locker room. He was only added to the Oilers because McDavid suggested it.For anyone not aware, he was famous for doing push ups with loads of cash on his back, flexing his money. Keep in mind, he's from one of the poorer parts of East Vancouver, and I thought he'd be more humble about what he's become at the time, that was a professional NHL player. Anyways, maybe he's grown up? He's proven he hasn't matured one bit. I'm surprised if he's in the NHL next year.

No. We shouldn't cheapen traditions like the handshake line. Even if it feels performative or the players hate it, it carries symbolic weight. It reinforces the idea that, despite the intensity of competition, this is still just a game...and at the end of it, we can acknowledge one another with respect.

Who cares if he skipped the handshakes

He had one damn job in this series

To be a “rat”
All he did was take stupid penalties and baited consistently by Marchand Bennett and Tkachuk
