Anytime something like this happens, I'm reminded about David Price's attitude towards bat flips and the like. "Pitch better".
You're right. The Habs should have put forward an effort that they wouldn't have been embarrassed of. Tanking for draft picks should be done in a more respectful way.there should be a sense of respect in the league
"They'll get what they deserve in a few weeks" that's gold though
This is the view of my buddies who are Habs fans too. I think the majority feel this way. We all have losers in our fan bases that embarrass the rest of us.Hopefully other Habs fans have chimed in and disagreed massively with the OP.
I promise, we are all not soft skinned and think this is an issue at all.
Wideman is just being a piss baby and coping hard. He knows he's done and going back to the KHL at the end of this year.
Thankfully, Matheson's comments are more reflective of a true professional athlete. Don't like the EBUG in the game? Don't play so poorly that it's a viable option. Don't like the PP1 being out? Then retire. This is professional sports, players are paid for results on the ice, teams are heading into the play-offs and want to be executing at the highest level.
Wideman can go back to punching air in back of an Uber. Embarrassing from him and anyone who actually buys this cope.
im happy Wideman said something here,, Leafs are upm 7-1 and put in a PTO goalie to rub salt in the wounds,, thats bulletin board material if you ask me
Not only that but they are up 7-1 and put out their PP1 unit,, unbelievable
Im glad Wideman spoke up because to me, thats bush league
First thing I thought ofOilers did this earlier this season and it was fine then.
No issue with the Leafs doing this whatsoever.
f*** right off with this take, if the roles were reversed you'd defend it to no end and your abysmal posting history makes this clear.
Meh, that’s a game where you reward players who wouldn’t normally be on the PP, and who have been playing hard that game. The EBUG? For a minute? Why not. That’s likely the only NHL ice he’ll ever see.
PP1 I could see going either way. PP2 is typically the unit that needs the extra practice but PP2 isn’t playing the full 2 min regardless. How much does it really matter which order you roll them out?
