He put up 39 goals and 75 points just last season. 6.5 mil for that kind of production is a bargain.

He has scored the 10th most goals in the league since the start of the 2021-22 season. Over that same period, he has the 4th most goals in the playoffs.

Claiming that he is overpaid and washed up just because his numbers are down on a team in disarray is disingenuous. He's still on pace for 30 goals, and on a better team, he would almost certainly produce more. Playing most of the year next to the Zibanejad isn't doing him any favors.

Regardless of what you think his value is, the Rangers aren't trading him unless the return is significant.
Sounds like he will stay with the Rangers then.

Absolutely delusional. 33 years old signed for 2.5 more years.

who even atm in a bad situation projects 30+ gs this season
whose decline is a temp aberration caused by back issues we believe resolvable w/treatment
and who has been pulled down by Zib, not vice versa

It is acknowledged that OP has a right to create this thread and as a courtesy may be heard

that said, that notion is wrong
UNLESS there is overpay Kreider should be kept

Sounds like he will stay with the Rangers then.
works for many of us

btw

Solid contract with not much term left for the best net front guy in the league. If rangers go through a 2-3 year re-tool then probably a 1st and B level prospect

What about Ryan Lindgren with Kreider what would be the ask?
Lindgren probably will be moved at 50% retained at TDL for a 2nd imo

Yes, it is, Your GM helped lower his value, by the way he handled the whole situation, so like you said no deal.

Don’t be silly a benching does nothing teams will want him for past play

If they choose to go the player route so be it

Would Utah do a Kreider , Vesey, Smith for Crouse and Schmalz ?

Krieder all but gone, way I see. Rangers made big mistake way they handled Gooderow and Trouba situation last summer. They disrespected character veterans who were popular in dressing room. It created animosity on team.

When things are going good they alright. But doesn't take much for things to blowup. Now they going to have make one, more likely two major in season shakeups. I think Krieder will be traded. Look for Miller to go, Lindgren high chance. Maybe more.

Rangers need to get rid of the ill will on team.

I would personally do Geekie and the 2026 2nd but I wouldn't move our 1st for Kreider

Rangers are in a tough spot where I think they have to move him but the market might be tougher than they think because he is 33, has a 15 team NTC, speculation on back issues, might be a on decline, just benched, etc.

You might only have a few contenders (and they likely have to be American teams) inquiring

Boston makes a lot of sense because it's his hometown and I don't think he has to uproot his entire life in the process by staying on the East Coast.

I don't think Rangers fans are going to get back what they believe his real value is unless they start taking some bad contracts back or retaining

Jacob Trouba at 8 million was moved for assets so I’m confident Kreider can be moved for a good haul

He’s a perfect player to put a team over the top

eh probably not, maybe a trade to think about next season, trade Palat++ for Kreider.
So all of the Devils players get all poopy pants like the Rags players did when they tossed Goodrow and Trouba? The Devils locker room loves Palat and I think they would be pissed if they sent him to the Rangers.

What's the price for Kreider? He's basically the polished, high end version of what a certain player was supposed to become in Ottawa.

Who?

I'd only trade for Kreider if Amadio and Perron are going the other way. No cap space

And even then, I think Sens would need to go after a more dynamic forward

Gonna guess it’d cost a bit more than a 2nd. I’d imagine it’d have to be OTT 1st with protection + Greig and then some minor pieces.

Damn, I'd much rather keep Greig than having 33 y/o Kreider

You’re not wrong but you have to admit OPs list of “Available” is insultingly bad.

Any GM giving up a 2nd round pick for 100% of that Kreider contract is a BAD GM.

OP doesn't have to list more assets, I wouldn't give up the 2nd.

Yes he has been poor so far this season, along with 95% of the rest of the Rangers team. There is a major issue within the organisation right now but to say he is washed and only worth a 2nd rounder is insanity.

But that's the thing, he's worth much less than a 2nd. I'd give up that 2nd if you take Perron and Amadio

Player's values are highly related to their contract and Kreider's contract is NO LONGER attractive, simple as that
