Kredier scratched. 50% retained for a 2nd that turns into a 3rd if he doesn't get atleast 10 assists
Count out OttawaWhat's the price for Kreider? He's basically the polished, high end version of what a certain player was supposed to become in Ottawa.
11 goals and a single assit for 12 points in 30 games and the eye test matches the stat line too, as he continues to look lifeless in NY.
Still, Stützle badly needs a winger and a revived Kreider would be a perfect fit. Concurrently, if NYR is looking to rebuild/retool, Kreider/Zibanejad would be to of the first players out the door.
33 yo, 6.5M for 3 years (including this one). What's his value league-wide? And what's the price for Ottawa?
Available: 2025 2nd round pick, Tyler Boucher, Mads Soogard, David Perron, Antom Forsberg (cap), Travis Hamonic (cap), etc.
Kreider - Stützle - Giroux
Tkachuk - Norris - Batherson
Greig - Pinto - Perron
Cousins - Gregor - Amadio
Ostapchuk/Gaudette
Sanderson - Zub
Chabot - Jensen
Kleven - JBD
Hamonic

So basically you want Kreider but won't give up any decent pieces for him.Makes sense
Gonna guess it’d cost a bit more than a 2nd. I’d imagine it’d have to be OTT 1st with protection + Greig and then some minor pieces.
I’d be willing to guess OTT would be on his NTC though.

tell it like isSo basically you want Kreider but won't give up any decent pieces for him.Makes sense
cap hit not that bad for 30/+ gs production, he did better on better Rs team that for whatev reason is snakebitHis contract is awful and he's washed. He doesn't have much trade value. You should be thankful anyone wants to take him at that cap hit.
Yes, depends on speed which he still has -- back issues presum temporary w/cont treatmentFor a 33 year old that depends on his speed to be effective, yes it can happen over one off-season.
Pinto+ KlevenPinto or Greig, plus Hamara
These players are assets. Just because you hold contempt against the Rangers doesn't mean 31 other GM's do. It's a f***ing business and Chris Kreider is not some no-name even if his value has dipped. He's available and he's been in the eye of other GM's for quite some time, now is the time to snag him at a good price if you ever wanted him. It's really that simple. Can you imagine that NY fans do not want to understand that other teams do not have a need or do not have salary cap space for washed NY players?
Kreider will fetch a haul at the deadline with like 20% retention.
Don't see NYR doing anything now, their season is over. They'll get the best return to a contender at the deadline.
Still far too early for this kind of talk, I think.
They're only 5pts out of a playoff spot.
We must be watching a completely different player here.
Kreider has been terrible this season and taking him on at his full caphit would be a risk for Ottawa. Not the other way around.
The upside for the Sens is that he (might) gel with and get revived by Stützle. However, it's still a risk, as the downside is a 6.5M x 3 anchor.
Not sure how that amounts to Greig + 1st or some of the other outlandish proposals in this tread.
The Rangers' brass must agree too, since its just been announced Kreider will be a healthy scratch. Did you feel the same about Trouba's value?

Kreids @ $3M is more than enough to talk turkey with other teams. Drury isn't looking for the world in return but he's also not going to get low-balled just because people think the Rangers are desperate. So sick of people pretending there isn't real Hockey trades to be made with NYR just because it's a NY team they dislike.
The Kreider for Brandon Saad+ proposal is quite interesting to me because it seems to be something in the flavor of what Drury & Armstrong would do.
My Bruins stink at least as much if not more and have much less talent. Stilll think the Rangers can make the playoffs. As someone who has watched every game this season... they're beyond done.
That's not me being pissed my team isn't playing well. They're not a playoff team.
They've seen massive regression from Kreider, Zibanejad, Trocheck and Panarin. And they've seen slight regression from Lafreniere. Their d-corps is in shambles with 2 bottom pair mercenaries and they have a bunch of rookies in the lineup that haven't contributed anything.
They're done.
How many teams would pick him up from waivers at this point?
1-2 years? You think Kris Kreiduer isnt worth anything at the deadline?Several cap floor teams would be all over it. Then in 1-2 years flip him with retention.
I disagree. The Rangers have multiple assts that are the type contenders love to add. The chances of them all staying healthy all the way to the deadline, especially the way this year is going, are not good.Kreider will fetch a haul at the deadline with like 20% retention.
