Currently tied for 30th in goals with 9 and dead last with 0 assists. That is a pace for 39 goals and 0 assists (math guy here). Obviously there are players who are goal scorers primarily and their assist totals aren't that high, but 0 is impressive.

Not that this is a real record, but I went back to 1980 and these are the best/worst goal to assist discrepancies I could find. Most star players obviously usually have more assists than goals.

He's on the pp1 in ny so eventually he will get a bunch of lucky touches for assists.

Yup, definitely due for some Crosbies (2nd assists) on the power play.
Why would you call them that? I saw another poster refer the same to MacKinnon and had to pull up stats for him also.

If you're such a (math guy here), why not include the percentage difference too?

What is the point of that? Math guy was a joke aimed at the pace for 0 assists over 82 games which is obviously nearly impossible for any star to hold onto. Hell have one bounce off his ass for an assist eventually.

Should honestly be called the Bouchard assist. Guy had 25 primary assist to 38 secondary assists last year in the regular season last year. In the playoffs he had 7 primary assists to 19 secondary assists. This year he has 2 primary assists, to 7 secondary assists.

Note: I'm not putting down the player. He's a fantastic player.

Tyson Barrie 72 point pace running that PP! Be at the top of the PP, give it to one of McDavid/Draisaitl and they give it to the other and boom he gets a secondary helper.

Because it adds to the comparison. Say 30G 0A vs. 60G 30A, there's a big difference even if the numerical difference is the same. Why am I typing this my food is getting cold.
