And for the money being made, and the money being spent, if its too much to ask that their privilege take a lap of shame for longer than 3 days while fluffing off their apathy in Bridal Path homes, then the sport in Toronto is definitively dead and what we're watching is only and intentionally entertainment.

Why? Because when everything is effortless, nothing is worth sacrificing for. And if they're not willing to sacrifice a thing, why on Earth would hard-working fans want one more thing to do with people who in effect scoff at the sacrifices being made to watch these players hold their paying public in contempt?

The truthful point is you shouldnt give a f*** what they do outside of the rink. I care about the effort they give on the ice and training for on the ice. I think its a generational disconnect in several ways that's not worth my time to explain further. You're free to reach toward extreme examples I haven't made, but I think pushing back against the content of my opinion with abstraction, is weird.

I don't think so. The 2022 drafted forwards broke through this year. 2023 draft forwards should break through next year, especially with what Cowans been doing.

If he's not ready it's not the worst thing in the world, but I'd projected him to be ready to make the team next year.

I don't think you need to wait for a player to be completely ready to play in the NHL, especially when you're on a good solid team.. Teams like Dallas & FLA are good because they are getting & got tremendous value from their first round picks playing on a ELC. Lundell, Johnston, Stankoven, Harley. At such a young age, how did those teams know they were NHL ready with zero experience.

Toronto has gotten that once in the 9 year span and that's from Knies. There would be growing pains with Cowan, & it would be tough, but he doesn't need to playing in 82 games, him playing in 50 games is good for his development.

Instead of signing 30 year olds, Toronto needs to develop their younger 1st round talent into being productive and cheap.
