Again with the assumptions. It's more likely he went because Tri City didn't think he was ready for the USHL and the kid thought he was ready. Based on his start in Halifax, it seems that Tri City was right.
My assumption is that he will most likely not report to Tri City next year even if Tri City wants him. I will wager that we will see a lot more Americans in the Q, the O and the Dub who would have gone to the USHL but chose not to in order to play in the CHL.
Fortunately, we will all be able to see the data next September and we will no longer have to call them assumptions.
They likely gave him an NTC. It’s something that can happen with American or high end prospects in the CHL.
I would assume that yes, NTC will be the order of the day for most high-end U.S. prospects.
