Yeah because he sucked defensively and they want size down the middle. That’s why they are working on his defense with him on the wing

Carlson, MacTavish were drafted as C. Gauthier was a winger with the dev team but played C in college. So Ducks have enough C and those guys all play a heavier game than Zegras does. Plus, Zegras style is the best of the quartet to move to the wing.
