Yeah, I know these two teams aren't the best friends in the league, and it's hard to imaging a trade between them, but still as a theoretical posibility:

To Chicago: Jaden Scwartz (probably + something not very significant)

To St. Louis: Artemii Panarin

Chicago gets a legit top line LW, signed to a friendly contract (5.35M/year for 5 years)

STL gets an offensive dynamo and Tarasenko's best friend.

Where does Chicago get the cap space to add over $4 million in salary? Unless this happens in the summer when Panarin isn't 5 times cheaper than Schwartz anymore.

I think both sides would rather stick with what they have here.

Schwartz is a better overall hockey player, rather keep him. The only knock on him is health

Which is what Panarin is.

I'd prefer to keep Schwartz but I do think Panarin has a higher offensive ceiling of the two. Pretty sure both teams keep what they currently have.

Not sure, if Chicago will be able to do it...

If we can't he sure isn't going to go to St.Louis for a lesser player and "something not very significant"

Conversation would start and end with the hawks asking for Parayko. Panarin won't be gifted to st.louis is what I'm getting at. Yes, I do understand that is unreasonable, and no I don't care.

I mean Scwartz is legit, but it's hard to argue, that Panarin has scored as much points in the NHL in his two seasons as Scwartz scored in his last three ones.

Schwartz also missed 50 games last year and 5 to start of this year....

I would love to see Panarin in the Blue Note but I don't see any way Chicago would trade him to us. Their offense revolves around that second line I see them doing everything they can to keep it together for a long time.

Thats not my point....and Schwartz has missed alot. Hense my health concern. Ive watched a fair bit of Panarin...expecially as he was wearing the Blues out. If Schwartz returns to his pre injury form, i feel hes a 70ish pt player that is excellent away from the puck. Panarin's extra production is the drop in defensive abilities.

As for Crosby/Toews. Crosby is fairly underrated away from the puck. I find him to be a great defensive forward when called upon

Chicago was lucky to get Anisimov for Saad (yeah, it was more, but other parts are mostly gone). Next time the team can be not so lucky. And even Anisimov has just turned out to be better, than most people thought, otherwise the trade wouldn't look that good.

That fact that you think Schwartz is a lesser player than Panarin shows that you know nothing. You're just one of those media hype people.

I think you are overestimating. You realize there were only 17 70+ point players in the whole league last year right? Tarasenko scored 74. You think Schwartz is as good offensively as Tarasenko?

A 70ish point player that is excellent away from the puck is Kopitar. Schwartz will never touch Kopitar.

Not right now, but if Panarin wants 6mil+, then I think the Blackhawks would be smart to do it, if only to save some cash.

ST Louis might have to add a 3rd or something...
