3rd straight game Chicago watching the Avs and they watched both games Ivan played for the Colorado Eagles (AHL) before his recall.

Now their GM comes to watch live.

Assuming they’re watching Ivan Ivan.

What are these two teams cooking?

I could see Mittlestadt for a stop gap guy that Colorado needs to move on from. Chicago doesn’t really have a 2C. Two years left and too much money for Colorado. Doesn’t have trade restriction. Could be a good spot for him.

Why on earth do people think Mittelstadt is on the block? He had a rough stretch, he was great last game, I’d be shocked if somehow they just give up on him so early. Makes zero sense to me.

Does Chicago have a decent defensman potentially on the block? I think a good acquisition for the third pair is the next obvious move they need to make.

I don’t understand, either.

I even tried to make it clear in my first post… the Blackhawks scouted both Eagles games that Ivan Ivan was sent down to play.

Since his recall, they’ve been back scouting the Avs and today their GM is watching him in person.

Most common sense would suggest they’re watching Ivan.

Just seems like a weird player for the Gm to personally watch. I mean that as no disrespect to Ivan.

Connor Murphy? I don't really see much else that Chicago would move that Colorado would have interest in. Maybe Martinez idk how serviceable he's been there

Can someone help me with today's crossword?

I'm having trouble with this clue: what starts with Mikko and ends in Seth Jones?

...how about: RIDICULOUS... 🤣

A better 2C.

This is much more likely a lower line-up depth move for either team.
Sorry if I'm a bit off topic but in response to a better two C and if JT has asked for a trade (not coaching related, I'd fire Tochett to keep given how the offense looks under him)

Would him and Soucy for Casey and Toews+ make any sense?

Both teams downgrade from one position to improve on another.

I do think the Avs benifit more because 2 months of 70 point production in a season that has obviously been effected by his personal life, dont erase a 100 point 1c that has consistently shut down the oilers best two players 5on5.

I genuinely would like to see him win a cup and a 1-2 punch like that and a system and wingers tailor made for him.

Edit.
Didn't realize I had the other thread for him I accidentally ignored it.

What???

Toews???

Holy shit no… just no.

And you put Toews+ like the Avs are still adding… good God.
