Murphy needs a faster clock on getting rid of the puck in his own zone. Once someone gets on him, its a turnover and scoring opportunity every time. Probably a symptom of always being able to skate away from everyone in the OHL.

I wouldn't count that as a positive for Chicago. That's exactly how you throw away an easy win.

Oh I don't, I'm sure quenneville isn't enjoying it. It's human nature though. It's early in a long season to go balls to the wall for 60 minutes, if the other team isn't pushing you there's some inherent sitting back.

We've prodded, but scoring would be a legit push. Which is why we have a chance here. We pop in a quick one and maybe it's too late for them to turn it back on.

Agreed. We got the lion's share of possession in that period. One breakthrough might be enough to really turn the momentum.

Absolutely. Faulk was the same way as a rookie, and beyond. When you're a skilled skater it's your first instinct to sprint away from trouble. Learning how to slow down and calmly face pressure and still find an appropriate outlet is something that can take years.

At this point we have to take the good with the bad. He has no pro experience. We accepted it from Faulk, we should do the same with murph.

I've said in this thread how terrible Staal has been to start the season, as usual. My pointing out of Bellemore's shortcomings wouldn't be necessary if there weren't multiple people on the boards who were so impressed with Bellemore's first 3 or 4 games that Gleason somehow became expendable. When guys play like ****, I comment on it. Sorry if you disagree.

I'm not one of those people who said that, but drunk Gleason doesn't win any footraces and fails to clear the puck regularly at millions of $$$ per year, so given his pairing above where he should be it seems disingenuous and out of proportion to heap hypercriticism on Chadmore to try and score an "I told you so".
