If we get reamed this game and don't do well after this road trip, Dean should just shut it down for the year. If short term failure(throwing this year away) will sow long term success (a Cup next year and beyond) then so be it. There's a lot of fat that needs to be trimmed away and a lot of the core guys just need an entire off-season to rest.

I don't know if I agree or disagree yet. We'd have to tank out I think for us to really tear it apart. Doubt AEG would throw away the playoff revenue just because we don't 'look' like a cup team right now. And I'm betting the Richards move was just a warning shot that might be just what we need.

He's getting better as the year progresses. He's the only guy on our team throwing monster hits, however sometimes he goes out of position to do so and it burns us. It took him a while to get going because we were forced to use him more due to our trouble with D.

We definitely need outsiders to set us straight at times
McNabb has developed better than I think any of us have hoped he could--brings the thunder, makes VERY smart plays with the puck (simple first passes)--but he's still working on his reads and positioning and god help us I hope his footspeed too. He struggles with speedy guys and I guarantee he misses a blueline hipcheck tonight that leads to a 2-on-1 but that's something to iron out. Would rather have the aggressiveness than Schultz giving big warm hugs.

I would rather see Sutter roll out Clifford-Nolan-Andreoff-Lewis for 5 minutes or less of OT than go to another shootout at this point.
