I'm surprised that Ken Hitchcock's health has held up this long.

He had lost a considerable amount of weight before he came here as coach. So he has had a great strain on his body for a long time. And then to be in a high stress position such as head coach of an NHL team.

I don't understand all of this hand-wringing about Chiarelli. It's not like he's going to be able to make a deal or sign a player behind Army's back, so any input he has will be filtered through Army and, if it ends up to be a poor deal, Army will (and should) shoulder the blame.

Don’t. Let. Chiarelli. Make. Any. Decisions. Ever.

He is absolutely convinced of his own genius but consistently makes the most baffling, horrifically costly trades, and the most asinine signings of any GM I’ve ever seen. The only GM even close is the legendary MiKe Milbury. The bigger the trade, the worse it is. He doesn’t deserve another job in the NHL, and why anyone would consider him an asset is a complete mystery to me.
