  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.

Whether or not that tweet is true, if there is an agreed upon extension, it will be 7 years, not 8.

To sign an 8 year extension, you have to be with the team at the previous deadline, so he could do an 8 year sign and trade, but that would have to be after July 1st, so it seems that is not happening.

He could also wait until after the trade deadline to extend, but I wouldn't consider that locked in.

Not true for an extension is it?

Like SJ will be able to extend Celebrini with 365 days until he’s an RFA. For a UFA it makes sense, but surely it’s different for a RFA. Byram will be a Chicago’s asset at the start of a new year.

None of this is accurate. The Leafs literally just signed Raddysh for 8 years. The option also goes away for everyone in September.
