  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
This is my big problem with the deal but I have to think Chicago has reason to believe they can extend him if they were willing to pony up this much.
I suppose but now buffalo has the cap to resign tuch so really take this trade and add tuch going to buffalo makes the trade even more lopsided

If the Sabres can get 4th overall for Byram, who's to say I can't get a date with the cute blonde I work with?

You need to change your attitude.

This modest crap doesn't get you anywhere.

Tomorrow morning, you're going to walk into the office and tell that chick, "hey... I have an offer you can't refuse. You and I are going on a date this Friday. It's your lucky day. What time am I picking you up?"

That's how you do it.

(If you get fired or slapped, I'm not liable...).

Chicago must have a really low opinion of the players likely left in this draft if they'd trade thge 4th overall pick for Bowen Byram. I don't think he sucks or anything but I would just assume based on draft hype - I don't follow prospects, that one of the dmen in this draf would have a higher ceiling than him.

Wtf Chicago. Crevier showed little physicality in Chicago but you could coach that up. He had the best shot on the point by far and we give up the 4th for byram who is a second pair dman. If stenberg was gone by 4 then see who you can get on draft day. Greenway is filler.

If the return came through as Crevier + 45th for Byram, I don't think I would have been as surprised as I am with the actual trade. You just really don't see top 5 picks moving and I am pretty shocked that Byram fetches one along with two other pretty solid pieces.

Though this definitely does likely have something to do with the weak FA market, teams who desperately want to improve are just short on options.

That's actually a really funny point....

If we apply a year ago's standards of value; if the deal was Byram for 45 + Crevier; you might feel like Buffalo got A LITTLE shortchanged.
