As I said about the Red Sox in the Crochet thread, not sure what makes the Cubs think they’re a good enough team to be doing all this

Probably not like this. I’d like the Angels to get better and I’d be livid if they made either of these tradesShould these teams just not try to get better?
A starting 3B with 3 seasons of control, a back end starter with 5, and a top 100 prospect is pretty good for a rentalWTF Houston.
I dont understand. That's a meager return for Tucker

but if they resign him they have a potential top 10 position player, he was at a near 10 WAR pace last year
Takes two to tango. Tucker seemed set on testing free agency unless Houston blew his doors off with a can't refuse contract and they weren't going to risk losing him for nothing.
They made the deal right now to maximize value and to get a good MLB player back to try and be as competitive they can this year in Paredes, who they wouldn't've been able to get if they made this move @ the deadline.
He’s traumatized by the Angels constantly thinking the exact same thing.Should these teams just not try to get better?
Out of all the dumb things the Angels have done, trading Quero and Bush for Giolito because they thought they were better than they actually were is among the dumbestHe’s traumatized by the Angels constantly thinking the exact same thing.
All because Moreno didn’t want to be Peter Pocklington or Harry Frazee.Out of all the dumb things the Angels have done, trading Quero and Bush for Giolito because they thought they were better than they actually were is among the dumbest
