Yea I don't trash other teamsAnd this is coming from kevy dude
Or maybe you're new to the sport. Other team wants to win too
That whole unit had a brilliant shiftWon't show up on the score sheet but hell of a shift by Ekholm prior to the goal.
Not a goalie on this planet that saves that OT winner. Sorokin was very very good tonight.Sorokin is elite but he can only make so many great saves
Mcdrai looked great tonight
Neither does Stuart Skinner. The islanders didn’t belong on the same ICE has us
Swap goalies and oilers might score 10.Not a goalie on this planet that saves that OT winner. Sorokin was very very good tonight.
The man with the glove as big as Miami.Everyone had this hockey card back in the day
The D has been good all season. Limiting chances…the skaters defensively have done their part. For all you guys giving Skinner the benefit of the doubt for that 3rd goal... Just remember that the Oilers only gave up like 23 shots. Goalie needs to come up big at some point. Thankfully Oilers get out of this one with a win with subpar goaltending.

No team is perfect defensively. Oilers are amongst the top in a lot of defensive metrics. Meanwhile Skinner is amongst the bottom in GSAA.Terrible defending effort. Why is Ekholm on his knees watching the Islanders best player get the puck in high danger ice. Brutal team defending with a no stop goaltender behind it. Bad combination
He gave up a bad rebound which led to the goal.I mean, he did on the 3-2 goal
It was a tire fire on an own zone face-off protecting a lead. No reason for Ekholm to be on his knees. If that was Nurse people would lose their shit. Poorly played from the draw and open look for the opposition's best player. Add a no stop goaltender and it's a tied game. Doesn't have anything to do with defences being perfect, obviously non are. It probably should’ve been at least 3-0, not 3-2.It was a tire fire on an own zone face-off protecting a lead. No reason for Ekholm to be on his knees. If that was Nurse people would lose their shit. Well unfortunately it wasn't. Defensive zone face-off to protect a lead and the team breaks down to give the opposition's best player an uncontested kill shot in high danger ice. Bad look. Especially with the goaltender they have. Way too passive given the situation. Fortunate the Oil dominated the OT to win back the extra point. It probably should’ve been at least 3-0, not 3-2.
The defense played very well and Skinner still gives up 3 goals. At least 2 of them were very stoppable.Well unfortunately it wasn't. The team defense breakdown the last two minutes took a dominating game to OT. Regardless of what else happened. Have to win these critical situations. Ekholm on his knees giving up high danger kill shot to the Islanders top player pushed this dominating game to OT. Skinner being mediocre and a critical moment team defending mistake can both be true statements. The defense played very well and Skinner still gives up 3 goals. If I was to assign blame for the game going from 3-1 to 3-3, I’d probably do something like 80/20 on Skinner/the defense. The team defense breakdown the last two minutes took a dominating game to OT. Haha. Finally getting the ratio thing! Skinner was bad. But they can't execute that poorly in last two minutes of a game they controlled. If I was to assign blame for the game going from 3-1 to 3-3, I’d probably do something like 80/20 on Skinner/the defense.
Hmm, that’s a familiar ratio
