Yes. I think any of us watching him can see what the scouts or the GM specifically liked about him. No doubt the change of scenery and added responsibility have been good for his game. The point totals can be forgotten as long as the progress continues.

It's unfair to ding the player for not being a top-six type talent. All he can do is try to be the best version of himself.

I think the shots and faceoffs are actually more encouraging than the assist, though he did fend a body off to get it.
