What???? USA didn’t feel pressure, getting booed in a hostile environment ?? Sorry to upset you fragile state of mind but winners win regardless of the venues, pressure, or expectations . The better team wins more times than it loses. USA set the tone, and Canada didn’t answer. If Canada can’t perform in their homeland because of “pressure “ they have no business competing in a best on best.

Crosby and mcdiver disappeared after Macavoy crushed both of them multiple times. Canada is a finesse, speed team that wilts under the pressure of a heavy game. Canada was pushed off to the perimeter the entire game, there was no real threat . Add into the equation that binnington is your #1 and that’s an awful recipe. It wasn’t as close as the score indicated. USA put on a master class of superior hockey for 60 mins.

There’s a percentage of Bruins fans, as there probably is with every team, that believes all hockey players should be running around every game trying to crush someone every time they’re on the ice. The majority of us know that Mac can bring it when he needs to, and when it’s that type of game.

I'm not one of those fans.
Mcavoy has stunk in his last 3 play off series. Two against the Panthers, and one against the Leafs.
He didn't "bring it when he to needed to" in those series.
But he did have a hell of a game against Canada after getting walked by McDavid on the first goal of the game.

I've seen Sid get blasted in play offs by Capitals, Flyers, Rangers, Sharks, Bruins, Islanders, etc and come back strong everytime and win 3 cups.

I can't take you serious when you say Charlie macavoy intimidated Crosby and mcdavid,and I have a hard time understanding your take of a "crushing" hit.hey Charlie played a great game man but slow your roll.

I saw it differently. One stretch pass had the left D Werenski out of position and then he floated coming back.
RD McAvoy had to come over and play it for a second like a 2-1, which it was, but that gave McDavid enough to go wide. Even then McAvoy stayed with him and forced McDavid to take a bad angle backhand that he roofed.

Your speaking like mcdavid and crosby turned into hughes or Matthew's,a couple of poofs.both mcdavid and Crosby got hit harder in peewee.you make it sound like macavoy is stevens,marchment,foote,webber,blake,orr,potvin,baun,glennie,he is not he is an okay hitter,but he strikes zero fear in any canadians and that there my friend is a fact.

What alot people missed was the slight of hip hit by mcdavid when mcavoy ran into him,the mcdavids slight of hip hit has been compared to bruce Lee's 1 inch punch, unfortunately it has led to a mcavoy injury. But I'm sure Charlie was advised to leave mcdavid alone.
