Looks like they got Benoit on the 2nd line tonight with Krejci and Carey. Hopefully he finds some way to contribute.

Good game last night however like him on as Center 3 rd line much better. He’s been effective and once everyone is back Wagner Coyle Heinen will do some major damage. Nords replaces Wagner on the 4th line. Going to be a much improved bottom 6.
Wagner exceeded expectations, awesome player.
should be the 7th player winner this yearTotally agree. He deserves to be moved up. He creates havoc and surprised to see him scoring.
I think he means Pouliot
Who's Benoit?
He’s going to stabilize the third line.Glad he's got the scoring monkey off his back, this should help his confidence going forward.
I don't like him on the wing though, he's much better as 3C.

exactly, he was added to help stabilize and add depth then poof, that depth immediately depleted with all the injuriesCoyle's value to the team will shine once they get the injured guys back.
He's a guy that you can put on the wing in a pinch, but his value is a middle 6 center, preferably 3C.
I think he’s the kind of guy that needs the right linemates to thrive. IMO, that’s one player who likes to handle the puck and make plays, and one player who is a shooter.
Coyle is the complimentary piece in the offensive zone, a guy with good hands who will get the skill guys the puck, retrieve losose pucks, play a good possession game on the walls and be the net front screen when shots are taken.
Not an option this year, but I think a line of DeBrusk - Coyle - Bjork would dominate. Bjork is your skillsy playmaker, JDB the shooter and Coyle the guy who does the heavy lifting in the Dzone and compliments in the Ozone.
I'm slightly concerned since Minnesota probably thought the exact same thing for a long time (almost 7 years) and played him with all kinds of different talent.
I think he is what he is at this point. He's a somewhat steady 40 pt producer with occasional flashes. While versatile he doesn't seem to be able to adapt to every line seamlessly.
That's not a bad player by any means. Does a lot of good things, has some weaknesses, doesn't produce as much as he should. solid, unspectacular player, but fills a role.
Peverley was a more versatile player, if Coyle can reach his level we'd have some depth scoring. He's already not too far from that anyway.

I agree he is what he is, but I don't think we're going to see a "steady 40pt producer" without finding the right mix of line mates, and so far they haven't been able to.
Surround him with the right pieces, not all-stars, just the right complimentary pieces, and I think he could be one of the better 3c's in the league. 40-50 points, the occasional wow moment but more importantly someone who's dependable defensively, who's big and strong, who's good on the walls and in front of the net...
