Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. When Treliving was brought in and nothing at all was changed except for some overpriced stopgaps, I think the writing was on the wall that this would be a down year
I don't imagine we'll see any major changes this season (though open to being wrong)
Despite a lot of the rhetoric here, we're not a bad team. Underwhelming, disappointing, sure, but we're not bad.
It's like many forget when we actually were bad (I swear it was almost more fun times around here back then)
We'll still walk into the playoffs.
If we win more, fantastic!, if not, I feel like Tre and Co. and will probably just shrug it off as a lost year where they got to "evaluate the team" and then make some changes.
Many of the recent Cup winners had a down "reset" kind of year before they won. I hope beyond hopes this is ours.

True ....but so far the 3 havent really made a impact. They have no idea where to put Bert....cant play with Mathews and Taveres line with Nylander playing like he is we should expect more production from Bert. Domi is the same player he has been his whole career. Plays no D...isnt discipline enough and IMHO wasted cap dollars spent on him.
Reeves is just a mess even tho his cap hit is low.....he is just a waste of a roster spot. Will he keep guys off the stars by yapping them on the bench? Because he is a huge liability on the ice. I thought maybe he could skate but he is even slower than Taveres every was and has no ability to change direction.
But he is great skating in a straight line looking for a pylon to hit.
Would we be worse off calling up Robertson and keeping Mitten here? or keeping Lafferty on the 4th line.
Tough guys that cant skate or have any hockey IQ isnt needed in the regular season. Playoff times when they change the rules to promote interference and crosschecks...etc....then I can see a guy like Reeves useful for about 5 mins.
JMHO but it sure isnt panning out and maybe the only bright side here is if Bert has a horrendous season maybe he will sign a team friendly contract. I would let Domi go and bury Reeves in the minors till playoffs

When Dubas got canned the entire front office should have been sent packing. Instead Shanahan was allowed to appoint another failure. The result is a handicapped team trying to compete against thoroughbreds.
It's like signing up for a race with only one leg.
You spend months training. Come the big event you sprint out as fast as you can and still lose by a mile. God damn what went wrong?
Maybe it's because you only have one leg.
Shanahan would never face that fact though. His one consistency is refusing to admit anything is wrong. The result of which has been stagnation in the progress of this team.
No change has resulted in exactly that: no change.

Yes there is a change needed and It's in net.
This is a very very good team but It's being held back goaltending that simply isn't good enough there is almost always 1 goal where you say "that can't go in."
last night it was the 3rd goal, yeah it was a clean shot but That's the thing it was a clean shot.
No screen, no deflection , nobody crashing the net, nothing it was clean and it beat Samsonov.
I'm not a Woll guy, I think He's a rebound machine but he stops goal 3 last night I've seen him do it.
