Refereeing was bad (missed yellows on Laimer, Pacho and Muller, wtf yellow on Mendes) but the Dembele ones were merited. Who tf makes a sliding challenge in the opposite box while already on a yellow??

Muller is done done at this level, it was sad to see. Mendes is probably the best left back in the world.
While almost not touching the opponent. Which you seem to forget.
As you seem to forget the bogus first yellow for Dembele.
Actually Muller fouled Neves much harder than Dembele in the end. Was it a yellow? Nah it wasn't even called a foul!

Anyway the red card wasn't the reason PSG lost. They actually were just as good as Bayern a man down.
It all has to do with their inability to score. Ramos coming back is a positive but he's out of rhythm obviously.
This game could have been a draw. A Bayern win isn't a steal either.
I hope you saw Safonov's save on Musiala and realize he's a quality goalie.

Dembele was being a whiny twat.

Müller is always a twat, but he hadn't been annoying that ref for as long when he had his incident. Dembele talked himself into that yellow-red.
That's BS.
The ref didn't call a foul, ball went the other way and he changed his mind before Dembele could say anything.
Or maybe you're confusing with Hakimi's yellow?
Muller made a huge foul, wasn't even called on it and still screamed at the ref for the throwin.

Dembele almost got a yellow for dissent and likely would have had he not already been on a yellow. He was complaining to the officials for most of the match.

Because they sucked?
Every single player whined. Rightfully so.

Bad refs seldom have sympathy for players bitching to them that they are bad, and no one bitched more than Dembele.
I'd say Muller bitched more in 10 minutes than Dembele in 70.
Just because it's expected doesn't mean it's fair.

Then and there
He's good with his movement on corners, but there's really no reason to let a play run that far to a free header on a corner.

Sporting had a player marking him, but he didn't react quickly enough when Gabriel started his run, so was a split second late and then gave up when realising than he can't prevent Gabriel getting to the ball and heading it.

Needs a combination of two players from defensive team who can read the flight of the ball from corner well. One preventing a direct/clear run to head the ball and the other even somewhat nudging Gabriel when he is about to head.

Then and there
Atalanta with another great attacking display, even though Young Boys isn't the greatest challenge at this level.

The final goal by Samarzic was icing on the cake. Starting from the right flank, he dribbled through 3 players and then scored past another set of 3 opponents trying to block/stop the ball.

The second yellow was the ref starting to play advantage and then remembering it was a second yellow and thus he’s supposed to stop play immediately and not play advantage.

Diving into a challenge like that is going to get you a yellow 4 times out of 5 in todays game, even if you barely touch the player.
