Then and there
Player of the game is probably Chevalier but a good second is Bouaddi, 17 today. Only his turnover late in the game was a negative.

Meanwhile Mbappe still looks awful.
If Vini wins the BDO, he's the worst winner of all-time.
Jude is useless most games too.
Endrick was pretty decent.

I think that's still Belanov in 1986. He had some good matches at WC, but I still was surprised he won.

Kiev won the Cup Winners Cup too that season, but they didn't really face any top teams outside of Atletico Madrid in the final, and they weren't really amongst the best teams that year either.

Obviously if the rules had been different back then (similar to today) he hadn't been even close to winning.

With strong rain and lot of water on the pitch throughout the match in Zagreb, players couldn't pass the ball or run with for any length really.

They couldn't hold on until the end, but I was impressed by Dinamo nevertheless. Especially Baturina was good as long as he was on the pitch, goal and assist for him.
Baturina is the next big thing midfielder from
Dinamo from what I’ve read.

Just saw some "highlights" of Letexier's reffing yesterday in the Leipzig/Juve game. SHOCKING.

He is usually solid in Europe, bad in France. Maybe he didn't get the memo.

Just watched the highlights for Girona-Feyenoord, pretty crazy match. Three own goals (one called back for the tightest of offsides), two penalties (both stopped).

Somewhere around the world
That Diaz penalty is one of the worst I have ever seen called a penalty. Yes, the ball hits his forearm but it's in a position where the ball would have still hit his body. Calling that a handball is absolutely shambolic. Again, one of the top 3 worst called I have ever seen.

Same thing yesterday with the Douglas Louis call. He had turned his hand to protect his head in the wall. If he didn't have his hand up to protect his head, the ball still would have hit the back of his head.

Really horrible reffing yesterday

That's the one I am referring to! Absolutely shoddy reffing.

We're only into October and the core Real Madrid players already look gassed, which is highly concerning considering we're not getting any reinforcements. The squad is simply too thin. There isn't a quality midfield option off the bench that I'm seeing, tall task ahead. Rudiger, Fede and Carvajal have basically absorbed every minute in the last 12+ months, something has to give.

People clowned on him, but we badly badly miss Joselu's profile. So far our player profiles just don't seem to mesh.
Camavinga is coming back. That will help.

We badly need a CB though. Midfield I am not worried, but central defense? One of Rudiger or Militao goes down and we are f***ed.

Club noted CB was an issue since we were all in on Yoro and that just ended once he joined Man U. Just poor squad planning, Rudiger/Militao injury is inevitable at this rate.

Yes, he is. And don't overlook Petar Sučić as well. After them next in the line is/should be Luka Vrbančić (19), who is currently on loan at Lokomotiva. There are also Lukas Kačavenda and Luka Stojković, but their development is somewhat slowed due to various injuries (both were under knife). Dinamo is really stacked at midfield, which can't be said for defence and/or offense.

I have zero doubt BVB will beat Real today before losing to Augsburg on the weekend.

Brugge with a bunch of great chances, failed to score and then Milan, after doing nothing for 35 minutes, scores an olympic goal

edit: and now a direct red card for Brugge so this game is officialy ruined

edit: Brugge ties it up early in the 2nd half!
