No idea how that’s an “obvious foul”… I didn’t even know what the call on the field was for a good 2 minutes

The one angle I saw didn’t look like Carlos jumped into the keeper but rather the opposite. Martinez being a little wuss doesn’t keep it from being a bad call

Everyone and their grandmothers know that goalkeepers are extremely protected. The call is not any different than any other foul on a goalkeeper, especially when you go shoulder into the gk. I'd expect the same call if it was on the other side.

this match was not reffed better than in the PL. To me, that's never a foul on the keeper & I wouldn't call that as a ref.

Villa didn't deserve to win though, mind.

The worst part of it for me, however, is that no one except the ref knew what the call on the field was for a good 2 minutes.
 
While UEFA is busy suspending Romania's pitch for a shout of "Serbia", civilized Bologna fans stabbed a couple of Lille fans in Italy tonight.

Yeah, when you have no idea where your keeper is situated, no look passes towards your goal are a good idea :laugh:

What was Carter-Vickers thinking there, there was some pressure on him, but he still had enough time to boot the ball upfield.
 
Di Maria's crosses were very good today, big contributor to Benfica's goals. Too bad Bah's goal was ruled out (correctly) it was another great cross and perfect run by Bah to head the ball in.

Sorry for Shakthar losing after leading 2-0 at 87 mins, but PSV's late surge was intense and one of the Tillman's goals was a an impressive shot.
