Prospect Info: Champions Hockey League

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

I switched over to watch Olofsson since no Ylonen. Ylonen's team needs to win by 8 goals and have the Czech team lose in regulation so a tall order.

Olofsson's team down 2-1 after 1, a win or OT loss and they advance, if they lose in regulation then they need Bern to lose.

Puljujarvi with a nice goal to put his team ahead 3-2 in the 2nd. Olofsson hasn't do much of anything so far once again.

Ylonen's team tied 2-2 so they are pretty much toast in this tournament. Not that they had much of a shot going into the game as winning by 8 goals was going to be very tough.

Olofsson actually did something in the offensive zone, not sure if he'll get the assist but he fired it on net and his teammate knocked it in to tie the game with less then 26 seconds left.

Ylonen's team is out, it's 2-2 in OT.

Olofsson's team advances to the playoff round as their game is in OT as well but that's all they needed to advance. So win or lose they advance and will be one of the final 16 teams.

Olofsson with a nice puck rush in OT and sent a nice pass to his teammate but he couldn't put it home. I've only seen him a couple times so far this year but this appears to be his best game.

Broberg with a terrible attempt in the SO, Jussi Jokinen scored a beauty in the SO. Karpat wins.

Olofsson with his 1st point in any game since the summer showcase (and that puck didn't go in) but he finally records a point!

1 a, +1, 15:30 TOI which is a season high in either SHL or Champions league games.

I didn't think it was that bad. Puljujarvi's was a lot worse.

Topi Niemela just scored to put his team up 4-3, the goalie should of had it but this kid is not afraid to shoot the puck, he's got 6 shots so far.

It ended 4-4 (the Swedes scored with 27 seconds left) then Kärpät won it on penalties to no avail since Skellefteå is going to the play-offs together with Bern, all 3 teams had 11 points but Skellefteå had the best goal difference, in fact all Swedish teams went through.

i moved this to the champions league thread, the post on the 17 year old Finnish defensemen was in the prospects thread since he's draft eligible and I never heard of him before the game but was impressed.

The schedule for the playoffs will be out next week as the games aren't until next month but Olofsson's team will face Djurgården in the 2 game series.

The drawing for next season's Champions League Tournament will be held on June 3rd. As of now all our Euro prospects will play in the tournament which will start in October (usually would start at the end of August)

CHL Draw on 3 June; Frölunda, Luleå & Zurich Enter as Top Seeds

Norlinder - Frolunda (one of the top seeds)
Olofsson - Skelleftea (played there last year)
Ikonen - Ilves
